Downtown Marlborough Pop Up Shop

Hey my Vibey Friends. A little update on where we have been. On May 12, the City of Marlborough city officials joined the Marlborough Economic Development Corp. (MEDC) in welcoming local entrepreneurs like myself to three sheds within the parking lot along Court and Weed streets.

The Downtown Marlborough Pop Up Shops were built for small businesses to test out a “storefront” idea. It has been a huge success for my small business so far.

These sheds come complete with vibrant art on the outside that was hand painted by a local artist named Brian and also is equipped with electricity on the inside.

Vibes Candles has been kind of permanent in one of the Pop Up Shops since the Summer time and I am really loving it. Of course I had to make our shed a little more inviting and give it more of a Vibe. Thanks to my absolutely amazing husband, he had helped me hang a sign above the doors so that it looks more like a store front rather than shed. Along with lighting and flower pots for a warm welcome as you walk in to shop all the Vibey things. I added my own shelving unit, decor and of course my products. Candles, reed diffusers, wax melts, match bottles, jewelry and other great gifts.

At the end of the day I am able to close the doors, lock up, and say good night to my little Pop Up storefront until the next day. I love that I am able to use the space not only as a mini storefront but also a space for content creation since everything is setup so beautifully. I have met so many of my Vibes Candles Fam and followers in person and made some new connections too. Our City has really been super supportive with not only my small business but also the other amazing artists and small businesses who are popped up each week. Again, forever grateful to our beautiful City and this amazing and successful opportunity they have given us small businesses.
